Don't Forget!

They say that, “the older a person gets the more they forget and the less they worry.” You probably worry less because you forgot what you were worrying about. I’ll never forget the day when I forgot everything but my name. I made my coffee and left it on the table when I left for work. Then when I got to work I realized that I forgot my lunch that I made for myself. I then checked in my pocket and realized that I forgot the keys to the high school that I work at. Later when I needed to use my cell phone I realized that I left my phone at home. Man, what a day and I think it was a Monday of all things. Have you ever had a day like that? Can you relate? It’s like you went to sleep and woke up with no memory. Forgetting stuff is common especially if you’re in a hurry. According to The Times the ten most common things that people forget are: returning phone calls, replying to emails, people's names, sending birthday cards, charging your cell phone, passwords, taking the meat out of the freezer, watering the plants, picking up things from the printer, and taking out the trash. Somebody said the, “The advantage of a bad memory is that a person enjoys the same thing several times for the first time.” I would definitely agree with that. There are some things that a Christian should never forget. Proverbs 3:1 says, “My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands;” God wants us to remember Him. God wants us to remember His promises. God wants us to remember His plan that He has for us. Don't forget!
