How many of you have ever seen the show under cover boss? Yeh most of us have. I love that show. For those of you who have never seen that show it’s about a boss who goes undercover. Usually they are a CEO of the company or sometimes the actual owner of the company and of course they are very rich. They usually put on a disguise and pretend to be an employee of their own company in order to see what the needs are and to basically get to know the people in the company. At the end they reveal themselves and hand out money and other gifts to those employees who are not appreciated. I wonder what Jesus would say if He came into our services under cover? What would He think? What would He say? Unfortunately, He does look upon His church today and I think in some ways He may not be too happy with what He sees. And how the so-called church looks at other people. If Jesus dressed himself up in tattoos, piercings, spiky hair, dark ripped up jeans, and warn out tennis shoes would we show Him love? In many churches the answer would be no! And maybe Jesus words would be, “for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ Mathew 25:42, 43. They say that, “The Church must be forever building, for it is forever decaying within and attacked from without.” God help us to be church that shows real love to the world!
