A True Witness

Someone has described true Christianity as, “what a Christian does when no one else is around.” I heard a story about a guy who prayed this prayer every morning: he said, "Lord, if you want me to witness to someone today, please give me a sign to show me who it is." Well, One day he found himself on a bus when a big, burly biker man sat next to him. The bus was nearly empty but the biker guy sat next to this praying man. The timid Christian anxiously waited for his stop so he could exit the bus. But before he could get away from this situation, the biker burst into tears and began to weep. He then cried out with a loud voice, "I need to be saved. I’m a lost sinner and I need the Lord. Won’t somebody tell me how to be saved?" He turned to the Christian and pleaded, "Can you show me how to be saved?" The believer immediately bowed his head and prayed, "Lord, is this a sign?" I wonder sometimes what it will take for us to be a Christian before the world. When I say Christian I don’t just mean a title but a life style that follows that title. It is not just going out witnessing, but it is being a witness with your very life. Romans 1:16 says, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." Go out and be His witness today!
