A storm can sometimes be a mysterious thing. Sometimes they come with signs and warnings. Other times they come with no warning and perhaps catch a person unexpectedly. When a person is caught off guard this super storm can reach catastrophic proportions. In 2008 Hurricane Katrina came rushing into New Orleans displacing millions of residence and killing more than 1800 people. In the 1900’s there was a storm that took even more casualties known as the Galveston Hurricane. What’s shocking about this one is they say that when the storm came inland there were 8,000 people who ignored the warning and they were swept out to sea. When I mention storms a person can easily use it as a metaphor referring to the trials of life, a test, or even a temptation. But the storm I am referring to is much more serious than that. In fact, the storm I am describing is a super spiritual satanic storm. This storm I am talking about is not just designed to throw you off course or damage your vessel. No, this storm is designed to destroy your life. And if you’re are not prepared for this type of storm it has the potential of causing great harm to your life as a Christian. In the words of Jesus, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” The apostle Peter said it this way, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” Are you prepared for any storm that would come your way? The best way to be prepared is to arm yourself with the word of God. I pray that you would be ready!
