Most of us are familiar with the term, TMI, which means, too much information. Some people in sharing an event, or a story share too much information that we may not need to know. It could be something personal about themselves, or it might be something about another individual. I think it is safe to say that most of us talk when we should be listening and remain silent when we should be talking. Proverbs 10:19 tells us, "In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise." If we continue to talk we will eventually get involved in idol conversation. If we keep the voice box going we will eventually sin. Talking about the weather, talking about politics, or gossiping about another person does not usually draw someone closer to Jesus. As Christians we must be careful with our words. We must be quick to listen and slow to speak. And we must let our words be seasoned with grace. God wants us to talk to people about Him. God wants us to talk to people about the gospel. God wants us to share His love with the world!
