There is an expression that many people use today and it is the term, "All Good." You may run into an old friend and ask, "Heh, how have you been?, and the person might respond, "It's all good." A person might be going through a real difficult time in their life and you might say, "How are you doing, are you okay?" again, the person might respond, "Its all good." Is it really all good? Are the things that you are facing good? Is the situation before you good? The bible does not say that all things are good. When a person gets fired from their job that is not good. When a marriage is on the verge of divorce that is not good. When a person is diagnosed with cancer that is not good. Listen to what Paul said to the church in Rome when he wrote, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Rom 8:28. While the difficulties in life may not be good, the bible is clear that God is working these things through for the good. If you love God, then the Lord has a purpose through the situation. God will ultimately work this thing out on our behalf. We may not see it today, tomorrow, or next month. But one day, looking back we will see that God was with us every step of the way!
